Brandon received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Saint Louis University and a M.S.E.C.E and PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Purdue University. He is interested in using optical tools and artificial intelligence in thalamocortical circuits to improve neuromodulation strategies for the clinic. A former touring guitarist and bassist, Brandon spends much of his free time as a freelance session musician, composer for a variety of films, and building guitar FX pedals.
