The section of Pediatric Neurosurgery is in the American Family Children’s Hospital which expands our ability to treat difficult neurosurgical problems in children. Our basic science components include formative work on folate, central nervous system regeneration, treatment of pediatric spasticity and the imaging of children, with the help of our neuroradiology colleagues. This collaboration has resulted in innovative diagnosis functional studies, treatment programs and the future potential for regeneration therapies in the pediatric population.
